A Journal for the International Exchange of Gender Studies
The purpose of The U.S.-Japan Women's Journal is to disseminate information on Japanese women to the U.S., to enlarge the basis of information available in Japan on feminist theory and on the status of American women as well as women in other countries, and to stimulate the comparative study of women's issues.
The Journal includes interdisciplinary feminist articles, gender studies, reports on a wide range of women's issues, men's studies, and statistical information on the status of women. The contents of the Japanese (ISSN 0898-8900) and English (ISSN 1059- 9770) editions of the Journal overlap to some extent, but they are not identical.
