Automate for Windows™ version 1.4 is a significant new upgrade to the most technologically advanced well test interpretation software packages on the market. Automate for Windows™ is marketed and supported by Petroway, Inc. For information, contact Petroway, Inc., 926 Bautista Court, Palo Alto, CA 94303-4046, USA. ph: 1(650)494-2037, fax: 1(650)494- 8160, e-mail: sales@petroway.com
We have created a working demo that you can download and try for yourself! Click here to download now (~2MB). The demo program supports 90% of the functions in the full product, but has been hard-coded to a suite of 10 examples problems and 25 real field well test examples. After downloading the file, unzip it and run the program AUTOMATE.EXE. You can work with any of these examples to explore the program's features and functionality. If you would like a free 30-day trial of the full package to work with your own data, please contact Petroway, Inc.
Automate for Windows™ has always had one of the fastest AutoFit algorithms in the market. It is probably an order of magnitude faster than most competing products. This means that Automate for Windows™ has the capability to generate more complex models, work with more data points, and takes less waiting time for the user. But now, the new version has been made even faster still by the addition of the Turbo feature in AutoFit and GenFit. Internal computations can be another order of magnitude faster still, especially for data sets with many flow rates. This means that Automate for Windows™ may in some instances be 100 times faster than the competition!
Version 1.4 has a much expanded help system, including (a) a tutorial, (b) a complete technical reference, (c) 25 real field examples and 10 worked examples, (d) an expanded user's guide. To users, this means that they can press the help key (F1) at any time and obtain context-sensitive help on the program (this is as before) but can also consult the reference for instruction in well test interpretation, or can look at real field examples that may be similar to their test. Although all of this documentation is available on-line, a new 400-page manual has also been provided with this version.
Version 1.4 implements a new set of models to interpret tests from partially penetrating wells. These models will also be of interest to people with reservoirs that have bottom water drives or gas caps.
